Morrow County Zoning for Franklin Township
The Morrow County Commissioners will have County Zoning for Franklin Township.
A majority "Yes" Vote will adopt County Zoning for Franklin Township.
The Franklin Township Trustees have asked the County Commissioners to place
County Zoning on the ballot. This allows residents to choose zoning if they would like.
Franklin Township includes the property around the I-71 interchange.
This area has been looked at by several companies. These company's
have not decided on this area due to the Township not being zoned.
The Trustees have been asked by several residents to adopt zoning.
The Trustees believe County Zoning is the best option for Franklin Township.

Fire Levy
The Franklin Township Trustees have placed a New 1.5 mill Levy on the Ballot.
Franklin Township contracts with two Fire Departments
The Mt. Gilead Fire Department covers from the West Township line to CR 98.
The Johnsville Fire Department covers from CR 98 East to the Township Line.
The current 4 year contracts are ending as of 12/31/2025.
The new contract amounts for both fire departments have doubled.
Franklin Township currently has a 1.5 mill levy in place until 2028.
This Levy generates enough to cover the Johnsville Fire Department contract.
The New 1.5 mill levy on the ballot this fall is the total amount that Mt. Gilead
Fire Department is charging for their contract.
The Trustees would appreciate your vote to help cover the costs.

They will be on the ballot this fall.
